November 9th and 10th saw the first ever TaKtiCon take place here in Kansas City at the KCI Expo near the new Kansas City airport, well, old airport, new terminal. Since we are new we had decided to start with 2 days and see how things went before we expanded. All in all, it went as expected, which was a good thing, and we are in planning for 2025. I will apologize ahead of time for the sad state of my pics, but, I was pretty busy, and did not get a lot of time to take many.
Our centerpiece this year, and something that will continue on was the SAGA North American Grand Championship hosted by Mokan SAGA. We had 20 players from all over he midwest come out to test their mettle against some of the top players in the country. Here are a few shots of the action.
We also had a great Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game tournament hosted by the Great Plains Middle Earth League
And the KC Tankers hosted a Flames of War Late War tournament.
We had some great vendors as well. Wiley Games was on hand with a booth, and running their new Victorian Sci-Fi Rules, and Warlord Games had a nice booth of stuff for sale along with running some Blood Red skies, Achtung Panzer, and Bolt Action.
Along with them we had Wantz, selling custom dice, Huscarl Miniatures with a great bunch of printed and painted buildings, and Enigma Enterprises selling some beautiful 3D printed figures. We also had some purveyors of gently used miniatures and some other 3D printed buildings.

There were a few more games that I did not get pics of. I did manage to spend a bit of money. Picked uo 7 boxes of Fireforge Forgotten World, and a couple of the older Bolt Action campaign books.
Overall it was a good first effort and we are looking forward to next years event. No solid dates as yet, but it will be around Veterans Day here in the US (Nov 11)
