A Late Update For March

I wanted to post this at the beginning of May but I was in a bit of a social media funk. I couldn't really focus on how I wanted to present this bunch and instead of fighting it, since this is supposed to be fun, I just set it aside for a while till I felt more into it. So without further ado, here are the minis I did in March.

Mexican Hussars - Minifig

3rd Mexican Line Cavalry

2nd Mexican Line Cavalry

Members of the 8th US

Mexican Jalisco Lancers

Mexican 7th Line Cavalry

I made another good dent in my MAW project. I think I am about halfway through at this point. Lots of cool stuff to work on still. Most of my Mexican regulars are done, I think I have three more cavalry units, the light infantry, and guards. At that point it is all militia. The US is in good shape as well. Most of the regulars are done, just a few more units and then it is all militia.

I recently sorted my ECW project, and prepared to wrap it up. I am basing the armies on Marston Moor for the rules Baroque. Baroque has bases that are 120mm x 40 or 60mm. They do allow for breaking the unit basing up if you like. I opted for that with the three 40mm bases. Figures are all Essex. I need to pick up some Scots, but between what I already have on hand this project is on its way to completion. I haven't really gotten going on it as yet. These units were already primed so I stuck them into the queue. I'll get flags on them once I get more into the project.

Next up are some Prussian Landwehr. These guys had been set aside and forgotten so I fit them in. Figures are TTG from Alternative Armies, flags are from Fighting 15s. Based for Napoleons Battles. These wrap up the landwehr for corps 1 and 2 during the 100 days. Next up is the balance of the line, cavalry, artillery and officers for the two corps.

Here we have some Blood and Plunder figures. A handful of native Caribs and their African allies. Interesting figures to paint. I Googled some images of Caribs they are not overly dark, so I felt the Reaper Bronzed Skin triad worked well. They are nice figures with a decent amount of detail on them. Definitely looking forward to more of these.

While I am making some good progress on my major projects I am still filling in with some of my 28mm stuff. Here is an eclectic mix.

Clan War Dragon Clan Togashi Hoshi

Clan War Oni no Tadaka

Samurai from the Warring Clans Range

Fireforge Teutonic Infantry, Shields from Battleflag

Gripping Beast Byzantine Emperor

As you can see it is quite the mix. But, it is nice to break up the bigger groups with some fun odds and ends and parts of smaller armies.

Next are some more skeletons from the Skull and Crown KS

Some skeleton pikemen armed with Northstar pikes. This is a great line of minis and I plan to get more of them at some point. Still have a unit of halberdiers to paint up. The general figure is really cool and he was fun to paint.

Lastly a few more 20mm Germans. Some more of the SS, which just about wraps them up, other than some support weapons (AT and IG). Also we have a few later period Wehrmacht types thrown in. My next post will expand on those. Figures are all FAA.

Well that is all for this post. I have pictures for the next one already so I may get those posted in the next couple weeks since I seem to be getting out of my social media funk.
