Into the Valley of Death......

Its been a while since I have posted, the beginning of the year was a bit more hectic than I had planned, but it is all good and everything is in order. I did get out to Tabletop Hobbies to play a Cold War scenario using a Fistful of Tows 3. The scenario was a continuation of a previously played game where the Soviets had mauled a US force and pushed them back. A small British force was called in to rectify the situation.

The Brits were to enter on the far end of the table, not knowing exactly where the Russians were holed up. The Russians were hidden in the tree lined ridge to the upper left, and in the town.

In their best impression of Lord Cardigan, the main British force came up the valley, while a tank detachment wisely chose to move into the trees at the upper right in photo one. Wisely I say? Yes! A Soviet tank platoon, and mech platoon were on the wooded ridge to the left.

The mech platoon opened up first and did some damage to the advancing Brits. The Brits turned toward the ridge and returned fire, decimating the mech platoons vehicles.

At that point the Soviet tank platoon opened up, destroying what remained of the Brits in the valley. The British platoon on the other ridge wisely retired.  It was a short but fun game. There is a great group of guys out here and it has been fun the couple times I have been out.
